Harish Krishnamoorthy is an architect, urban designer, and writer. He holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design with distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University.
Born in Hong Kong and raised across several different countries, he is particularly fascinated with the role of public spaces, housing, and civic infrastructure in shaping urban experience. His academic work includes a housing scheme proposal in Mumbai, a park masterplan in suburban Paris, and bus station studies in Houston. For his graduate thesis, he explored the urban design of water infrastructure and manmade lakes in his hometown of Bengaluru, India.
He currently works for Utile in Boston, and has worked professionally in New York and Bengaluru for architectural firms specializing in cultural institutions. His writings have appeared in publications such as Log, Architect’s Newspaper, and PLAT. He continues to research the role of urban design in infrastructure in various global contexts.
